Most body wraps at Joy’s are not covered in plastic, but heated under the steam tube with detoxifying herbs for an added inhalation therapy. A scalp, neck, & face massage may also be given for added enjoyment.
Salt Glow
This treatment utilizes Dead Sea Salts with natural kelp, skin-smoothing enzymes, aromatic essential oils and herbs formulated to remineralize and polish the entire body. Your skin literally glows and your body feels as if it can breathe again. Your skin will be unbelievably soft and you will feel both relaxed and rejuvenated. Great for cellulite, general body detoxifying, and essential to achieve the most from any body wrap. Also ideal before a body massage. This treatment starts with a body brushing, then the salt glow is massaged into your body. You are then showered off where you lay. Conditioning body wash is massaged over your body & buffing cloth finishes the exfoliation process. It is best when finished off with a 1/2 hour aromatherapy cream massage.
Dead Sea Mud Glow
Combines the effect of the salt glow at the same time as the rebalancing, healing, and detoxing effect of the mud.
Aromatherapy Steam Bath
Lie down in complete comfort (instead of sitting in a steam cabinet) while your body breathes in an aromatherapy or herbal formula picked just for your needs. An Ayurvedic oil may be applied first to help the skin and encourage elimination. The steam bath helps loosen the fatty tissue so it can be broken down more easily and allow the body to eliminate it. It also increases effectiveness of body treatments and helps eliminate toxins, thus alleviating many health problems. A scalp and neck massage may be given and you may be showered down or hot toweled off after to wash off the toxins. Used free with body wraps and increases effectiveness as well as being more comfortable than the plastic wrapping.
Paraffin Treatments
It emits a warm, soothing heat which is felt to the bones & is helpful for arthritis and sore muscles or joints. It has an added benefit of helping heal and moisturize your skin leaving it incredibly soft. Products applied prior to dipping will penetrate more deeply. Very helpful for backs during massage to relax muscles & release lactic acid.
Stress Relief Hydro Pack
An intense hydration and stress relieving treatment. An Aloe Vera gel base with anti-oxidants A,E, & C nourishes the skin while botanicals and essential oils of sandalwood, lavender, orange & clary sage soothe and relax the body.
Purifying Enzymatic Sea Mud Pack
